Blanketed in Tartan

Outfit: Dress - asos.com; Tights, Bowler Hat, Bangles - Primark; Shoes - Market; Tartan Scarf, Belt - Vintage

Whenever I see tartan, whether it be on a scarf, a tin or a dress, it always brings to mind the Scottish Highlands - I think it's those 'Visit Scotland' adverts on the television. That or far too many years of visits containing ceilidhs (traditional Scottish dances) and tartan covered shortbread tins. When my sister produced this scarf from her latest vintage venture I wanted a location as similar to the Highlands as possible, unfortunately a lack of mountains meant the local river bed would have to do.

Great photos. I love all the different angles and lines created by your dress and Tartan. And, your hat just tops the whole thing off. It's seriously the perfect finishing touch to a fantastic outfit.
