Recently I became a member of the guest post group, organised by Ashley from the blog 2eyesinthemirror.blogspot.com. Every month each member is partnered up with someone; you create a post for their blog and they create one for yours. If you are interested in joining click here. This month I was partnered up with Ashley from 2eyesinthemirror, read on for her fabulous post ...
In one of her recent posts, Robbie mentioned that she was on a quest. What kind of quest, you ask? A quest to wear brighter colors instead of dark, safe shades. I think this is a quest that many of us could benefit in taking. It's all too easy to get stuck in a rut of wearing dark colors, and I suppose it's justified. I mean, think of all the hype around black. "Black is slimming." "Little black dress." "_________ is the new black." Could you imagine AC/DC singing "Back in Fuschia?" What about "Back in Mustard Yellow?" No. It's always black.
...But, it doesn't have to be! And to prove it, here's some inspiration for you, broken down into baby steps. Apprehensive about taking an all-out plunge into brightness? Well, m'dear, you don't have to! I've got inspiration for you if you want to wear just a little bit of color, a lot a bit of color, or somewhere in between.

So, what say you? How would you wear a brightly colored piece? What color would it be?

Bright colours? then blue or green. I also have a bright red dress... but def no yellow or orange! I love these compilations ^^ x
Yay! Let's hear it for color!
I love bright colors and you do a good thing by introducing readers to them gradually. Not everyone wants to jump into the deep-end right away. Simply moving away from dull and bland is an improvement for most of us. Thanks!
nice collabs :)
I love nude & basic colors, I mean: beige, black, white, grey - something like that :)
This is a great post! I love the looks in the "little bit more" collage. I tend towards neutrals, but a splash of color always livens up an outfit!

I love how you broke it out into levels people would feel comfortable trying. I probably hang out in the middle category most of the time, but my heart of hearts lies with all the way, baby!!
ohh loving the bright colors..they look fab!
