Over in the US, prom is an important rite of passage for all high school students signifying the passage between childhood and the beginning of their adult lives. Whilst in England, it is not such a momentous occasion, our leavers' ball was still a chance to get all dressed up, share some champagne with friends and dwell in a night of dancing and celebration of the last two years we have all spent together.
