Dressing with a hint of androgyny has always been something that appeals to me in my everyday wear; mainly because men's clothing tends to be a lot more comfortable than the female alternative. Yes there are days when I want to swirl around in feminine skirts and chiffon blouses, yet there are also days when anything tight and tapered just doesn't fit the bill. The great thing about this mode of dressing is that each and everyone of us can pull it off; be it a tux jacket, your boyfriend's shirt, a pair of baggy jeans or even some masculine style loafers, it is incredibly easy, just make sure you don't wear it exactly as a guy would.
By taking a cue from some of the boyfriend dressing style icons - Chloe Sevigny, Alexa Chung and Sienna Miller - it's clear the key to ensuring this look doesn't venture into the male territory is to always keep some definition in your shape; whether that's a belt at the waist or some skinny trousers, even adding a pair of heels to put a feminine spin on it. In the current cold snap, I will definitely be sporting numerous combinations of this practical and comfortable style.

I love this kind of style but having quite broad shoulders myself I have to be quite careful that I don't end up looking like an ACTUAL man!

Love it! And, you're right, men's clothing is so much more comfortable!
i would have to agree with you on the appeal of menswear.. especially after seeing a picture of leighton meester at an event over night wearing a suit. theres something so sutbley sexy about wearing a pair of tight black pants with a blazer/blouse.
i also think victoria beckham manages to wear menswear well too!x
I LOVE androgyny styling too, and I LOVE your blog, consider me your follower now :)

Boyfriend dressing is a great look.
I always prefer the tailoring and simplicity of men's clothes, sometimes women's is too over-the-top. I saw your lovely comment on my blog. I am now following you :)
Great, i found what i 've been lookin for
Simple and sweet. I’m thinking of starting another blog or five pretty soon, and I’ll definitely consider this theme. Keep ‘em coming!.
