Mustard Jacket

Outfit: Jacket and Scarf - Vintage; Shoes - New Look; Top, Belt- H&M; Necklace, Jeans- Primark

Another of my Rome flea market buys, this mustard jacket is becoming a recurring feature in many of my outfits due to its ability to brighten up any outfit, or gloomy day.  The rest of the outfit is made up of basics - a stripy t, black skinnies and brown leather belt - pieces I probably wear far too often.

Inspiration: Mustard

Currently I'm loving all the autumnal colours about.  Along with adorning the ever changing leaves on the trees, burgundy, amber and mustard seem to be popping up in all the clothes shops.  As I said in this post, mustard feels like the ideal colour to wear at the moment due to its warmth and trans-seasonal qualities.  You could incorporate it into your outfit with just one piece or wear it all over.  I've collected a few of my favourite looks and accessories from various blogs, all featuring mustard.  Enjoy!

Pops of Mustard

Outfit: Shirt and Jacket - Flea Market, Rome; Necklace, Shoes, Belt - Primark

Dressing between seasons can often be a bit of a challenge. Whilst the warmth of summer has disappeared, the chill of winter hasn't yet arrived and I never know quite how to dress. Personally mustard yellow feels like the ideal colour to seamlessly transition from summer to autumn. It has a warmth to it, reflects the colour of the changing leaves and compliments a fading summer tan. I included multiple honey and yellow tones in my outfit and love the final effect of how accessories can pull an outfit together.

Got Some Mustard On Your Skirt

Outfit: Skirt - asos.com; Coat - M&S; T-Shirt, Socks, Tights, Headscarf - H&M; Belt - Vintage; Brogues - Clarks

Modelled by my sister

Mustard yellow clothing is definitely a favourable way to brighten up a dark and dreary January day. My sister received this piece for Christmas and due to its versatility it's been worn many times since. The skater shape of the skirt is what I love most about it, simply because wearing things that swish and swirl as you walk never fails to make me smile!

Have a fantastic weekend
